19th Century Clubhouse
The majority of the clubhouse is the original building from the 19th century, although in 1996 a modern Pro Shop and changing rooms were added. A feature of the clubhouse is the coal burning stove in the middle of the lounge, which ensures a lovely feeling of warmth in those winter months, often welcomed after a windswept round.

PAV IT SUCCESS
.
On Saturday 12th July Brighton & Hove defeated Chichester in the Pav IT plate quarter final by 9.5 points to 2.5. We now face Seaford on 16th August at East Brighton. Well done to the team of Steve Stark, Tim Hoyles, Stuart Maplesden, Richard Lyons, Gary Daw, Andy Tolman, Wayne Humphrey and Craig Millyard.

CYRIL BLAKE TEAM WINS 
 
Our over 55's team have reached the quarter-final of the Cyril Blake Cup by defeating West Hove. We now face Ifield at home on Wednesday 30th July at 1.00pm. Congratulations to team captain Peter Ward and the rest of the players.

ROBERT HAYCOCK WINS CAPTAIN'S DAY

.

Robert Haycock scored an impressive 33 points to win the Powerplay event hosted by Chris Snell for Captain's Day. Scoring nett birdies on his 3 chosen Powerplay Holes, and then again on the 9th where he was going for the bonus Powerplay, Robert was 5 points clear of his nearest challenger John Mitchell.

Judy Mckemey won the Ladies prize with a great score of 27 points.

The day was a great success both on and off the course, with the raffle and auction in aid of The Martletts raising just over £1,000. Thanks to all who participated, and well done to your Captain, Chris Snell for organizing such a wonderful day.

STARK IS BDGS CHAMPION

Steve Stark won the BDGS Champion of Champions at the Dyke on Sunday 29th June, and our team of Stark, Craig Millyard, Martin Slumbers and Andrew Tolman won the team event. Log on to the members section and check out more details and photos under "Brighton District Golf Society"
